The 5th edition of REFCOLD India, South Asia’s largest exhibition and conference on refrigeration and cold chain industry solutions, culminated in Gandhinagar on Saturday.

The three-day conference and exhibition, organised by The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), attracted more than 8,300 visitors and over 650 delegates from across the globe.
“REFCOLD India 2022 brought together leaders of the refrigeration and cold chain industry. It also attracted a large and wide industrial clientele, besides the participation of diary manufacturers, farmers, and many more. The Indian refrigeration and cold chain industry is poised for major growth in the coming years, and we are confident REFCOLD India has played its role in facilitating the same perfectly,” said REFCOLD India Chairman Pankaj Dharkar.
The Indian cold chain market is expected to more than double from Rs. 1.28 lakh crore in 2022 to Rs. 2.86 lakh crore in 2027, a CAGR of 14.3%, offering immense growth opportunities for the industry.
REFCOLD India saw industry experts from India as well as France, Turkey, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and more addressing seminars on diverse topics such as dairy, sustainable cold chain, fire safety in cold chain, and heat pumps. The seminars were attended by more than 2,000 people.
“Knowledge sharing and learning are important and that is another key objective of REFCOLD India. The three-day event also facilitated business meetings and networking. We are confident that the exhibition will spur the growth of the cold chain industry in the country,” said REFCOLD India 2022 Convenor Mitul Shah.

REFCOLD India is the only exhibition focusing on industrial refrigeration along with the cold chain and reefer transportation. The event also witnessed the signing of an MoU between ISHRAE and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) for the betterment of the environment.
Industry stalwarts such as ISHRAE President NS Chandrasekar, Amitabha Sur, Yogesh Thakkar, Urvish Shah, Gaurang Patel, DN Shukla, and Darshan Dave were among those who contributed to making REFCOLD India 2022 a huge success.
