Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has set an ambitious target for the State to become a $1 trillion, a CAGR of 12-13 percent, economy by 2030. Tamil Nadu has surpassed the projection of the visionary chif minister by achieving 18% CAGR in software exports, said Tamil Nadu Minister for Information Technology T Mano Thangaraj here on Tuesday.

“To achieve this, the IT department has joined hands with private companies and has achieved 18% CAGR in software exports this year. We are ranked third nationally with a contribution of Rs 1,00,238 crores through the SEZ software export,” the IT Minister added.
Attributing this feat to CM MK Stalin and the corporates, IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj said, “We have reached this remarkable position with the guidance and leadership of our Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Mr MK Stalin along with the collective contribution of the management of various IT companies across the state. Hearty congratulations to the management, officers and staff of these IT companies for helping us reach a historical milestone.”
“We are poised to strengthen this with a focus to further work diligently with an objective to achieve 100 Billion dollars as a department, contributing ten percent to the Hon’ble CM’s vision of one trillion dollar economy. My department and I will support all the initiatives in this endeavour,” the IT Minister added.
The Tamil Nadu government was employing IT tools to make the state a hub of innovation. IT would be flexed to foster growth, generate employment and to provide citizen-centric services besides take the DMK government’s social welfare schemes to people’s doorsteps for inclusive growth, he said.
