With these decisions, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has fulfilled two important poll promises.

Under the Shramik Annapurna Yojana, construction workers and their families will get food at Rs 5 from tomorrow in 29 more labour markets or kadiya nakas of the state. Thus total 51 places will be covered now, later it will be extended to 49 more areas as per the poll manifesto. Earlier, it was priced at Rs 10.

Joyful learning

The State govt has also decided to implement 10 bagless days in Classes 6 to 8 in the schools under the New Education Policy 2020. During these days students will be taken out to banks, industries, universities, ITIs etc. The schools will be allocated 10 days time or 60 hours– five days in the first half of the academic year and 5 days in the second half. Initially in January 2023’s first week, as an experiment, 491 schools will mark 10 bagless days while in the second phase, by the end of January 2023, as many as 1,009 schools will see its implementation. Each school will get  Rs 15,000 and Rs 2 crore provision has been made for this.

All vacancies in the government departments will be filled with youth soon.

In the larger interests of the farmers, the Sujalam Sufalam project will be kickstarted in February 2023 instead of March-April.
