CSR Initiative: Refex Group kick-starts Road Safety Campaign on Anna Salai in Chennai

Anil Jain, Chairman, Refex Industries Limited led the campaign at the busy junction near Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar statue in Anna Salai.

During the programme, the employees of the company holding placards with slogans on road safety distributed awareness pamphlets. Sweets were distributed to the law-abiding motorists and car drivers wearing seat belt.

• In 2022, there have been a total of 1,55,622 deaths due to road accidents in India and close to 59.7 percent of such fatalities occurred due to over-speeding

Talking to reporters Anil Jain said, “According to statistics, in 2022, there have been a total of 1,55,622 deaths due to road accidents in India and close to 59.7 percent of such fatalities occurred due to over-speeding. Refex Group, as a business group that truly cares, would like to stress that the value of every life on the road and the responsibility to drive safely lies with everyone.”

Replying to the queries, Anil Jain expressed his desire to create awareness on Road Safety among the school children. Very soon, Refex Group will conduct series of programmes to create awareness on Road Safety in Government/private schools as part of its CSR activities.
