Andhra Pradesh Government is gearing up for the distribution of 25 lakh house-site pattas on March 25 coinciding with Ugadi festival.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reviewed the progress of the work in identifying house-sites district-wise and discussed the issue with the officials. He directed them to develop the identified plots and complete the process on time. He said special focus should be laid on the backward districts.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to identify the problems in the acquisition of land in each district and take them up on the spot. He said the collectors and the entire district machinery should be helpful in removing the financial constraints in land acquisition for the programme.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also reviewed the successful disbursal of pensions at people’s doorsteps on March 1 as part of YSR Pension Kanuka programme and appreciated district collectors for the effort. However, he told the officials to speed up the next phase of the programme by completing it by 2 pm. He directed them to ensure that he mapping process of 50 families each is done accurately.
