Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Saturday announced it has raised the bar yet again in terms of improving the passenger experience by installing two barcode readers at the domestic terminal entry points, which will be used to verify passenger information. CISF personnel stationed at the terminal entry gates will scan the barcodes on the tickets or boarding passes of SVPIA passengers, rather than manually checking them.

Soon, the airport intends to replicate the same technology at all entry gates, including the international terminal. The installation of barcode scanners will not only improve security but will also ensure hassle-free and faster entry into the terminal with increased efficiency.
