As many as 178 cadets including 31 women cadets who brave against all odds passed out from the elite Officers’ Training Academy in Chennai on Saturday. Five gentlemen cadets and three lady women from Bhutan, two gentlemen cadets from Fiji and one from Papua New Guinea also passed out. The impressive passing out parade was inspected by Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of Naval staff, says a release from Defence PRO.

The Parade was reviewed by Admiral Karambir Singh, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Aide-de-Camp, Chief of The Naval Staff who also presented the Sword of Honour and Gold Medal to ACA Harpreet Singh, Silver Medal to AUO Vaibhav Mahajan, and the Bronze Medal to BUO Varun Pratap Singh.
The Chief Guest complimented the Cadets and Staff of the Officers Training Academy on the excellent standard displayed by all. He exhorted the Cadets of the Passing Out Course to always adhere to the core values of the Indian Army and strive for excellence in all the endeavours to successfully meet the security challenges being faced by the Nation, the release added.
