Aazam. a crime thriller in Hindi, written and directed by Shravan Tiwari and starring Jimmy Shergill will hit theatres on May 26.
Aazam revolves around the underworld gang who controls the syndicate in Mumbai. Aazam is about the succession battle of mafia don Nawab Khan which revolves around conspiracy, betrayal and deceit.

For the promotion of the film, actor Jimmy Shergill and director Shravan Tiwari visited Ahmedabad. They promoted the film in a press conference organized at Hyatt Hotel and also later in an event organized by FICCI FLO.
In the action-packed film “Aazam,” set in the underworld of Mumbai, actor Jimmy Shergill will be seen in a new and unseen avatar. Jimmy Shergill’s look in the film is very impressive. Besides Jimmy Shergill, Abhimanyu Singh and Indraneil Sengupta will also be seen in important roles. The film, presented by BMX Motion Pictures Private Limited, reveals the dark side of Mumbai’s underworld and showcases the cruel faces of the mafia in the world of crime. Vivek Ghamande, Govind Namdev, Raza Murad, Sayaji Rao Shinde, Ali Khan, Anang Desai, Shishir Sharma, Sanjeev Tyagi, and Mushtaq Khan will also be seen in powerful roles in “Aazam.”

Speaking about his character in the film “Aazam,” Jimmy Shergill says, ” I am very excited for the promotion of the film Aazam in Ahmedabad. In the film, I am portraying the role of Javed, who is closest to the powerful don Nawab Khan. Javed’s character is quite complex, and it showcases the negative aspect as well. I had a lot of fun portraying the mindset and emotions of this character on the screen.”
Director Shravan Tiwari says, “Ahmedabad is my hometown, so promoting my film in Ahmedabad is very special for me. ‘Aazam’ is a film that will be liked by the youth as well as the adults .”
Shravan shares, “Aazam is the story of a gangster. It is a combination of mind games and the story of one night. It also involves an old mafia don who is going to die. Raza Murad is playing this character. Abhimanyu plays the character of Raza Murad’s son. There are many different people who are working with him who wish to be the successor of Mumbai’s underworld. Jimmy is one of his friends, who plays the character of Javed.”
“I am doing a film based on a Kashmiri terrorist. It’s the story of an 85-year-old Kashmiri terrorist. The film is titled ‘Kesar.’ Jennifer Vinglet or Gul Panag will be seen in the lead role. There is also a police inspector who is posted in Mumbai. It is not inspired by any real story,” he reveals.
“Aazam,” a film filled with mystery and romance, is set to release in cinemas across the country on May 26, 2023. The film is based on the background of the battle for the succession left by mafia don Nawab Khan, who controls the city through his five associates and instills fear among the people.
The film portrays that Nawab’s son Kadar is the rightful heir to his father’s business, but he conspires, as suggested by his friend Javed, to eliminate each of his father’s associates one by one. However, Kadar’s plan fails as the members of his gang are working on their own agenda related to the gang war. In the midst of all this, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joshi, makes various efforts to stop the gang war in the city.
The music for the film has been composed by Durga Natraj, while the film’s songs have been written by Nawab Arzu. The background score of the film has been provided by Karan Kunal, and the film’s action director is Neeraj Mishra. The cinematography is by Ranjit Sahu, while the film’s editing and screenplay credit goes to Shreya Srivastava. Monica Srivastav is the costume designer, and Vishal Mal is the production head.
