The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM) on Monday announced Prof Bhrigu Nath Singh has taken charge as the new Director-General. According to a release issued by the IITRAM, Professor Amit Prashant, the officiating DG of the institute, handed over the responsibility to Singh.
ITRAM got its full-time Director-General after about eight months since the tenure of Prof. Shiva Prasad got over in September 2022. Since then, Prof. Amit Prashant, Professor of Civil Engineering, IITGN, assumed the role of officiating Director-General. During this period, Prof. Prashant has played an important role in steering the institution towards growth and success, implementing effective strategies, and fostering a culture of excellence, the statement added.
Earlier, Prof. Bhrigu Nath Singh is the Former Head of Aerospace Engineering Department and former Dean (HR) at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He has more than 29 years of teaching and research experience in the institute of national importance in India and abroad. Prof. Singh brings a wealth of experience, a strong vision and great leadership qualities relevant to an academic institution.
It is worth noting that just a few days ago, Chintamani Joglekar joined as the Registrar. Before joining IITRAM as Registrar, he spent around 20 years in various administrative positions at IIT Bombay.
