Ganpat University has signed an agreement with Fairleigh Dickinson University, United States of America and NK Technolabs for dual Masters in engineering discipline.

A memorandum of understanding in this regard was signed at Ganpat University in Mahesana among the two universities and the IT firm on Tuesday, Kuntesh Parikh, CEO, NK Technolab Inc said.

This partnership will definitely turn out to be successful because Ganpat University always looks for the interest of their partners before themselves and by doing so we promote cross cultural value system opportunities for the students: Padmashri Ganpatbhai Patel, Honorary President of GUNI-NE photo

This MoU  was inked following Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi’s recent visit to the USA. Since “collaboration is the pipeline of talent”, this will open a vast avenue of opportunities for the students of both the universities and also get them global exposure.

Under this MoU, Ganpat University students will complete their first year Master’s program in Engineering Discipline in Mahesana and the second year in Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA. On completion of their two-year course, they will be awarded Masters Degree by both universities. This would further facilitate the exchange of the students between these two universities and help in two way collaboration.

During the MoU signing ceremony, Padmashri Dr Ganpatbhai Patel, Honorary President and Patron-in-Chief of Ganpat University; Dr Micheal Avaltroni, President of Fairleigh Dickinson University; Dr Benjamin Franklin, Provost of FDU; Dr Jason Scorza, Vice Provost (International Relations), FDU and the other Campus Directors and Deans from FDU remained present.

From India, Dr Mahendra Sharma, Honorary Pro Chancellor and Director General of Ganpat University; Prof Daniel Montplaisir, Honorary Joint Director General of GUNI;  Kuntesh Parikh, CEO, NK Technolab Inc., Dr RK Patel, Pro Vice Chancellor of GUNI; Dr Saurabh Dave, Executive Registrar (Administration);  the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor, the executive Deans, and Deans of all faculties also remained present at the ceremony.

In his welcome speech, Dr Mahendra Sharma, Honorary Pro Chancellor and Director General of Ganpat University, emphasising the importance of collaboration, said, “The collaboration will be an engine of transformation at a global scale. This collaboration between GUNI and FDU will create the pool of opportunities for the students on both the sides.”

Talking about the similarities in the visions of both the universities, Dr Jason Scorza, Vice Provost of FDU said that the collaboration between FDU and GUNI is quite imperative for bringing technology and humanism together.

Dr Michael Avaltroni, President of FDU, in his ceremonial address put stress on collaboration at a global scale because it would bring us better citizens of the world and better society. He also said that the collaboration between FDU and GUNI is also very important because we share a common vision on how education operates to bring change in the world.

On this occasion, Honorary President of GUNI, Padmashri Ganpatbhai Patel said, “Signing an MoU is just an event but how we can make a difference to the society through it is important. This partnership will definitely turn out to be successful because Ganpat University always looks for the interest of their partners before themselves and by doing so we promote cross cultural value system opportunities for the students.”

Talking about the benefits of the MoU to the students, FDU India Representative of FDU and the CEO of NK Technolab Inc., Kuntesh Parikh said, “This collaboration will help students in reducing the expense and study time for their career advancement. This will also offer them a wonderful opportunity to get practical training in the USA.”

Kuntesh Parikh, an alumnus of FDU, also signed a tripartite agreement with both the universities. As per the agreement, his company will facilitate free of charge assistance to the students in getting FDU admission, visa and their settlement process in the USA.

Prof Daniel Montplaisir, Honorary Joint Director General of GUNI thanked the dignitaries in the USA for sparing their time and keeping awake till late night to witness the ceremony
