To create awareness among the tax-payers with regard to importance of filing of Income Tax (IT) Return and resolving their queries or ambiguities in filing of returns, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has organised Tax Clinics across India through its 168 branches and 5 Regional Councils on Thursday and Friday, July 13 and 14. This will reduce litigation, increase in tax base, resolution of queries resulting in timely compliance and smooth filing.
The Tax Clinics have been organised with the publications support of the Income Tax Department.
As part of this event, the Direct Taxes Committee of ICAI at Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI is conducting ‘Tax Clinic’ at its branch premises located at ‘ICAI Bhawan,’ 123, Sardar Patel Colony, near Usmanpura Bridge, Naranpura, Ahmedabad, says CA (Dr) Anjali Choksi, Chairperson, Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI.
Tax Experts will be available from 11 am to 6 pm to answer queries of tax-payers pertaining to filing of return of income without any cost.
The Tax Clinic will be inaugurated by Dr Banwari Lal, Chief CIT-TDS on Thursday, July 13 at 10.30 am.
Public are requested to take advantage of this and get their queries resolved by expert Chartered Accountants on both days between 11 am and 6 pm. In case of queries, public may contact the ICAI Ahmedabad Branch on both days.
