The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr CCIT), Tamil Nadu & Puducherry organised a talk programme on the theme “Women and Children” as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. It was organised at the headquarters of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry at 121, M.G. Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai-34 on Friday.

Dr. Somu Sivabalan, Paediatric Pulmonologist and Dr. Sneha Sethumadhavan, Gynaecologist were the Chief Guests of the programme. Sanjai Kumar Verma, Member – CBDT, New Delhi and Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry presided over the function.
Dr. Somu Sivabalan shared his experience and gave special talk on various common problems addressed by the parents in general about growing a child in this scientific and modern era with a humorous touch.
Dr. Sneha Sethumadhavan, delivered a special address on the issues faced by the women at various stages of their life and conveyed how to overcome the same in a convenient way. She said the importance of women wellbeing helps to build a healthy family and healthy nation.
Senior Officers and officials of the Department participated in large numbers and benefitted from this programme.
