Adani Sportsline successfully organized an exciting Inter-School Cricket and Football Tournament in Ahmedabad. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation in the boys’ and girls’ Cricket Tournament, along with the boys’ teams showcasing their skills in football.
The Adani Sportsline hopes to foster a culture of sports in the city through the multi-sport Little-Giants Inter-School Championship 2023. It is aimed at allowing children to pursue sports and adopt a sporting habit for life.
The Cricket and Football tournament provided a platform, for young talents to shine so that they could be identified and nurtured, to participate in sports and competitive settings. The Girls’ Cricket tournament especially saw a numerous terrific displays throughout the competition. The tournament spanned five thrilling days, commencing on 25th July 2023, and took place at two prestigious venues: Shivay Cricket Ground and Adani Shantigram Football Ground, both located in Ahmedabad.
In the boys’ cricket finals, Shree Vidhyanaga School emerged victorious by 78 runs, displaying a brilliant performance against Devasya English School, who were bowled all out for 35 runs. The boys’ football final showcased a tense clash between SGVP School and L.M.L School, with the latter clinching the title as the final ended 2-1 in their favour.
The girls’ cricket tournament was equally thrilling, and in the final match, Shree Vidhyanagar School triumphed over Devasya English School by 28 runs, making Shree Vidhyanagar School the proud winner of the Little Giants Inter-School Championship in the Ahmedabad leg.
Overall, the tournament was a resounding success, highlighting the immense talent and sportsmanship displayed by the young athletes from various schools in Ahmedabad. The Little Giants Inter-school Championship 2023 will culminate on the 7th August, in Ahmedabad.
