ICAI inks MoU with Gujarat Govt to provide faculty support to UGs, Graduates

• Under this MoU, Ahmedabad branch of the ICAI will provide Trained faculty support for the vocational course on Certificate in Advanced Accounting and Taxation
• The duration of the course is 120 hours and consists of basic and advanced topics along with practical training on Income Tax, GST, Tally, MS office, Project Report, Stock Market, Information Technology

To increase the employability among Gujarat youth and to get them employed, Ahmedabad branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat have signed an MoU on 27^th July, 2023.

The MoU was signed by Rastriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) & Principal Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat Mukesh Kumar and Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI  Chairperson CA Dr Anjali Choksi, says a joint release.

Ahmedabad Branch of WIRC of ICAI  Chairperson CA Dr Anjali Choksi, Secretary CA Abhinav Malaviya, Secretary, with  Mukesh Kumar, IAS, State Project Director, Rastriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan(RUSA) & Principal Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Government of Gujarat and  PB Pandya, IAS, Director of Higher Education, GOG & CEO, Knowledge Consortium Group (KCG) and other dignitaries at the MoU Exchanging ceremony.

Under this MoU, ICAI will provide Trained faculty support for the vocational course on Certificate in Advanced Accounting and Taxation for undergraduates and graduates of the 40 Government Commerce Colleges and 170 Commerce Grants-in-aid colleges of the Gujarat State along with placement support.

Commenting on this, CA ( Dr) Anjali Choksi said, “The duration of the course is 120 hours and consists of basic and advanced topics along with practical training on Income Tax, GST, Tally, MS office, Project Report, Stock Market, Information Technology and other skills for improving employability in today’s competitive world. Initially, the course will be launched in 4 colleges-Gujarat Commerce College, Gujarat Arts & Commerce Evening College,R C College, K K Shastry Commerce College in Ahmedabad and Government Commerce College in Gandhinagar.”
