Girls’ education: PWD woman employees loosen their purses, donate Rs. 17K to NGO

To support the education of underprivileged girls, the woman employees of the Public Works Department in the state secretariat have recently donated a sum of Rs. 17,000 to an NGO - GoodLife Centre at Tambaram here. NE PHOTO

To support the education of underprivileged girls, the woman employees of the Public Works Department in the state secretariat have recently donated a sum of Rs. 17,000 to an NGO – GoodLife Centre at Tambaram here.

The woman employees of the PWD department at secretariat have contributed to this noble cause to mark the International Women’s Day. The money collected was handed over to the representatives of the NGO by the Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department Dr. Manivasan, says a release.

Dr. Manivasan also gave away prizes to the woman employees who had participated in various activities to mark the International Women’s Day.

Tamil Nadu Government Special Secretary R. Vishwanath, Joint Secretary K. Revathi, Joint Director (DIPR) T. Manoharan and other officials were present on this occasion, the release added.
