Thalapthy Vijay’s Tamil film Leo has collected Rs 370 crore worldwide. Rs 219 crore is from the domestic market in India. The movie, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, is fourth only to Pathaan, Jawan and Baahubali 2 in the list of biggest grossers overseas.
Reportedly, the opening for the movie globally is on par with the Martin Scorcese-directed film starring Leonardo DiCaprio, which grossed $44 million. Leo could inch towards being the number 1 movie globally. In Middle Eastern nations, it grossed $5 million and in European nations, it collected $3.30 million.
Based on the Hollywood film A History of Violence, Leo received mixed reviews. The movie is reportedly part of LCU or Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
The movie, which also stars Arjun Sarja and Trisha is Vijay’s second movie with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The duo worked together before this for Master.
