The Domestic Terminal (T-4) of Chennai International Airport has conducted trial operations on Tesday, after AAI, Chennai Airport team put in all efforts to make it operational for domestic passengers. With commencement of the operations at T-4, all Domestic Air India and Alliance Air flights will be operated from T-4, starting November 15, 2023.

As prelude to the commencement of operations from T-4, Air India had a trial operation at Terminal T-4 on Tuesday with flight No. AI 550, which has arrived at 1020 am from Port Blair, followed by departure flight No. AI 563 at 1110 am to Bengaluru.

As part of the trial operation for the departure flight to Bengaluru, the first boarding pass was handed over by CV Deepak, Airport Director, in august presence of the Station Manager, Air India, senior officials of AAI, CISF and other stakeholders.

The arrival Air India flight AI 550 had a total 144 passengers and 4 infants on board from Port Blair and Air India flight AI 563 had a total of 147 passengers & 5 infants for Bengaluru departure.
