The spirit of competition brings out the best from within a person offering a platform to showcase the very best version to impress the audience and food lovers. It is imperative to note that if one is keen on making it big it calls for active participation in the said area and this event was just one more opportunity for the budding chefs to do so.

IIT Bombay being one of the well-known and prestigious institution in our country has always been a step ahead in offering students the very best of education and exposure in all possible ways and adding to it is the annual college fest called “Mood Indigo” which takes place in the month of December offering various events and contests where students from all over come and participate. Chef Kaviraj has been associated with IIT Bombay for the last few years and has been actively extending support towards the cooking contests at these events, including sponsoring the awards and trophies for the winners as well.

This year’s ‘Chef’s Corner cooking contest’ at Mood Indigo too was a super hit and successful one as always. The participants from all across were very well versed with their creative ideas relating to their recipes, the concept, the background of the dishes, the presentation and portion size, nutritional knowledge and more. The passion for cooking was clearly visible in all the teams who took part and it was a pleasure to interact with them and check out their creative art on the plates to treat the palate.

The best part about the cooking contest this year was that it was in a nice open atmosphere with food stalls around where people could move around enjoy some mouth-watering delicacies at various food and beverage stalls plus see live cooking happening by these time- bound culinary aspirants. It is always good to see young talent working out-of-the-box and trying their minds with something different and versatile.
