As part of 48th Raising Day of Indian Coast Guard (ICG), a bike rally consisting of 48 bikers was led by the Regional Commander, Inspector General AK Harbola, TM; participating in the Bike rally. The rally from the Headquarters, Indian Coast Guard Region (North-West) at Gandhinagar covered a one-way distance of 48 Kms. The Bike rally is part of series of events being organised by the Headquarters and its units all over the ICG region in the run up to the 48th Coast Guard Day.
The bike rally from the ICG Headquarters to Rashtriya Raksha University was prominently appealing to audiences on the route with National Flag being displayed towards arousing patriotic feelings. The rally was specifically scheduled a day preceding the Republic Day. The rally was flagged in by Dr Bimal Patel, VC of the RRU and Member of National Security Advisory Board.
On arrival at RRU, the Flag Officer and ICG Team interacted with students of School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies, RRU on ICG and various pertinent maritime security issues.
