Dr. Bimal Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU, highlighted the university’s eagerness to learn from the operational experiences and people-centric developmental programs of Assam Rifles. These experiences will be transformed into case studies, contributing to the diverse faculties of the university.

The collaboration aims to accredit academic and training programs of Assam Rifles, offering certifications for various courses. This will enable the undertaking of studies, dissertations, and doctoral research as per university guidelines. The MoU also sets the stage for joint research initiatives, faculty exchanges, and collaborative projects that will benefit both entities.

Lt Gen PC Nair emphasized that the partnership with RRU is more than an agreement; it’s about fostering a lasting relationship that will shape the future of Assam Rifles and contribute value to RRU. This collaboration follows Assam Rifles’ strategy to create a well-rounded academic curriculum, having previously signed MoUs with Manipur University, Mizoram University, and United Service Institution, Delhi, showcasing its commitment to joint research and specialized courses.

Rashtriya Raksha University, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, stands as an institution of national importance, focusing on national security and police education. Assam Rifles, a Central Para Military Force under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is responsible for Border Security along the Indo-Myanmar Border and counter-insurgency operations.
