INS Chennai, a stealth guided missile destroyer of the Indian Navy would be visiting Chennai for two days-Friday and Saturday, February 16 – 17.
The warship has been safeguarding our National interests by actively patrolling in the Arabian Sea in the ongoing Anti-Piracy Operations and had recently foiled the hijacking attempt onboard vessel MV Lila Norfolk off Somalia coast.
Based at Mumbai, the ship is commanded by Capt Raghu Nair and is currently en route to Visakhapatnam to participate in the upcoming multinational exercise “MILAN 2024” from February 19-27 which would witness participation from over 50 countries.
