Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Academic Buildings of Phase 1 B at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) over video conference on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for student hostels and staff residences at IITGN to be constructed under phase 2 A.
Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, will be the distinguished guest of honor for the event at IIT Gandhinagar. Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan will join the event via video conferencing.
IITGN’s Academic Buildings house the Institute Library and several classrooms for students.
Phase 2 A staff accommodation will consist of 183 units, encompassing a total built-up area of 35,000 square meters. Additionally, hostels designed to accommodate approximately 1,200 students will be constructed, with a total built-up area of around 36,000 square meters as part of this phase.
