Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University on Tuesday announced it has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Heartfulness Education Trust, to promote wellness through meditation, Yoga, and other relaxation techniques. The Heartfulness Education Trust is based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, which conducts educational programmes on wellness, meditation, and value-based education for schools, colleges, government organisations and corporates, among others.
The scope of the MoU is over a five year period. As part of the MoU, Swarrnim intends to procure training and experiential learning services provided by HET, to stimulate and facilitate the development of programmes to enhance educational, social, spiritual, and emotional development of students. To promote mutual cooperation, both the organisations will organise and conduct educational workshops for mental, spiritual, and psychological well-being of its students.
“We desire to set a precedent by offering suitable and pertinent learning and offerings to our students to enable them to lead their lives with purpose. We will also provide students life skills to manage challenges in their relationships, avoid intoxicating abuses, digital dependence, and deal with stress of modern life. It aims to enable our students and staff to de-stress, manage life’s challenges in healthy ways and find joy, purpose, and fulfilment. This will directly enhance their academic and work performance and create a harmonious environment within Swarrnim,” said Adi Jain, Vice President Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University.
The collaboration with Heartfulness Education Trust will also help students as well as teachers to regulate their minds, moderate their tendencies, increase their concentration, sharpen the use of their will, introspect, and self-analyse and accept people and situations in general. Through such workshops and offerings, Swarrnim intends to help the students to improve their learning skills and behaviour, and inculcate humility, emotional maturity, confidence, stress management, self-awareness and most importantly, develop a sense of purpose towards life.
