Music composer Devi Sri Prasad, fondly called as DSP by his fans, is making huge waves not just in South India but in the entire Indian film industry with his riveting and soulful music.
‘Pushpa’ which had solid musical score by Devi Sri Prasad created a record after all its songs became chartbusters in 5 languages simultaneously, and the album is considered one of his major milestones. His music is enjoyed not only by fans in India and the diaspora accross the world but also by foreigners. His popularity in countries including Bangladesh is an open secret.
In a major development, DSP is currently composing music for the films of 5 leading stars. He has signed Ajith’s ‘Good Bad Ugly’, Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’, Dhanush’s ‘Kubera’, Vishal’s ‘Rathnam’ and Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’.
All the above five films are directed by famous directors (Good Bad Ugly – Adhik Ravichandran, Kanguva – Siva, Kubera – Sekhar Kammula, Rathnam – Hari, Pushpa 2 – Sukumar) and bankrolled by leading production houses. These are being made as mega-budget movies in multiple languages with totally different storylines. Devi Sri Prasad is providing tailor-made music according to their needs.
Devi Sri Prasad is working on many other films including Pawan Kalyan-starrer ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ directed by Harish Shankar, Naga Chaitanya-Sai Pallavi-starrer ‘Thandel’ and ‘Junior’ with debutants besides these five films. It is well known that apart from composing music for films, he also participates in mega events and entertains the fans with his unique style of performance.
Devi Sri Prasad, who is an ardent admirer of maestro Ilaiyaraaja, is touched and delighted over the recent visit of the Isaignani to his studio.
