Aarihant Homoepathic Medical College and Research Institute, affiliated with Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University organised a seminar and an awareness programme to mark the World Homeopathy Day on Wednesday. The awareness programme and medical camp was conducted in Uvarsad Village near Gandhinagar. It was facilitated by Dr Rakesh K Sharma, professor of the institute along with assistant professors Dr Jaya Srivastava and Dr Kavish Pandey.
Some 36 BHMS students participated in the event. The programme was organized for students to pay tribute Dr Samuel Hahnemann on his 269th birth anniversary. As part of the awareness programme, students and faculty members provided free medical check-up and health services to the villagers and educated them about the preventive measures to be taken in the wake of rising temperatures in Summer.
Meanwhile, the institute also organised a seminar for first year students. The key guest speakers for the event were academic dean Dr Hiren Kadikar along with Dr Raisingh Rajput, Dr Harsh Trivedi and Dr Jaymin Patel. At least 100 students along with interns participated in the event.
The panellists spoke at length about the history and evolution of the field of homeopathy and the breakthroughs that have taken place with it. The idea behind the event was to raise awareness about homeopathy by bringing students, practitioners, and supporters together. Students were also given CPR training demonstration to survive in cardiac arrest conditions.
