These contributions have played a pivotal role in advancing various facets of the IITGN ecosystem, including international internships, student support and scholarships, Art@IITGN, social outreach initiatives, housekeeping and workers’ welfare, sports and cultural events, and entrepreneurship.

The average alumni contribution for FY 2023-2024 stands at Rs 3,945; whereas the average donation from alumni of undergraduate programmes reached an all-time high of Rs 6,903. Notably, approximately 65% of alumni from the recently graduated class of 2023 extended their support during FY 2023-2024.

Reflecting on this extraordinary show of generosity, Prof Jaison Manjaly, Jasubhai Memorial Chair Professor and Faculty-in-Charge of Alumni Relations at IITGN, remarked, “An educational institution’s alumni network stands as a vital pillar of support. The embrace shown by our alumni is truly heartening, showcasing the enduring strength of IITGN’s alumni connections. Their continued commitment and generosity continually surpass our expectations, inspiring gratitude from IITGN. We are dedicated to nurturing these bonds, encouraging alumni engagement, and developing a culture of sustained support.”

Over the years, alumni contributions at IITGN have significantly enriched the student experience by supporting academic, entrepreneurial, cultural, and community development initiatives. From providing financial assistance for student necessities like laptops and dining hall allowances to facilitating international internships and establishing scholarships, alumni support has been instrumental in fostering a thriving academic environment.

Additionally, 43% of the recently graduated students of 2023 donated Rs 4 lakhs towards the batch scholarship fund. Furthermore, an impressive 83% of IITGN alumni have made donations at least once since the Institute’s establishment. Over the past decade, 29 alumni scholarships have been established, each providing one lakh per year to support students.
