A record 25 aspirants from Gujarat cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination earlier this month. Eight of these aspirants, who received training at Sardardham managed Civil Services Centre, are from the Patidar community, marking a momentous occasion for the community and Sardardham as an organisation.
A grand felicitation ceremony of these eight candidates will take place in the inspiring presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel at Sardardham near Vaishnodevi Circle, Ahmedabad, at 5:30 pm on April 28 (Sunday).
The eight Patidar community students who successfully cleared the UPSC exam, include Mitul Patel (All India Rank 139), Aniket Patel (AIR 183), Harsh Patel (AIR 392), Chandresh Shankla (AIR 432), Raj Patoliya (AIR 488), Jainil Desai (AIR 490), Smit Patel (AIR 562) and Deep Patel (AIR 776).
It is noteworthy that these eight students cleared the UPSC exam after undergoing training at Sardardham’s Civil Services Centre. More than 700 students are receiving training at the centre for competition exams like GPSC and USPC.
The Sardardham Civil Services Centre is equipped with an e-library, where 1,000 students can study. The e-library comprises 3,100 videos, 6,000 e-books, and e-examination software with a bank of 64,000 questions. The Centre also has four high-tech classes, four discussion rooms, four interview boards, and a library with more than 3,500 physical books. The training is provided free of cost by expert faculty. As many as 800 girls have been provided hostel facility at a token fee of Re. 1.
Until now, as many as 3,215 students have joined government services after receiving training at the Civil Services Centre. These include 94 who are serving as Class 1 officers, 718 serving as Class 2 officers, and 2,403 serving in the Class 3.
Sardardham President Gagjibhai Sutaria, Raja Industries’ Dilip Patel, Astral SteriTech’s Dushyant Patel, and The Gujarat State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ajay Patel will grace the felicitation ceremony.
Sardardham Civil Services Centre’s Chairman TG Zalavadia, Director CL Meena, Advisors Manoj Dobariya, Sanjay Savaliya and Anand Patel, Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation’s Standing Committee Chairman Jashwant Patel, Sardardham’s honorary secretary CA BK Patel, and other leaders from the Patidar community will also remain present at the ceremony.
