Prime Minister Narendra Modi has total assets worth Rs 3.02 crore, but owns no land, house or car, his election affidavit showed on Tuesday. Modi filed his nomination in Varanasi at an event attended by several NDA leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers.
The prime minister has Rs 52,920 as cash in hand and Rs 2.85 crore as bank deposits. He has invested Rs 9.12 lakh in National Savings Certificates and also owns four gold rings worth Rs 2.68 lakh.

The poll papers showed that Modi’s income has increased to Rs 23.56 lakh in 2022-23 from Rs 11.14 lakh in 2018-19.
The prime minister has declared that he holds a bachelor degree from Delhi University and a post graduate degree from Gujarat University.
After filing his nomination, Modi posted on ‘X’, “Filed my nomination papers as a candidate for the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. It is an honour to serve the people of this historic seat. With the blessings of the people, there have been remarkable achievements over the last decade. This pace of work will get even faster in the times to come.”
“I am honoured by the presence of our valued NDA allies in Kashi today. Our alliance represents a commitment to national progress and fulfilling regional aspirations. We will work together for the progress of India in the years to come,” he added.
BJP president JP Nadda and Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Anupriya Patel and Ramdas Athawale were among the leaders who flanked Modi as he emerged from the collectorate after filing his papers.
