HCL Foundation, which drives the corporate social responsibility agenda of global technology company HCLTech in India, on Tuesday launched the HCLTech Grant Pan-India Symposium 2024 Edition X at its inaugural event held at IIT Madras Campus in Chennai.
- It will also be held in Bengaluru, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Shillong, Bhopal, Udaipur, Dehradun and Delhi in the ensuing weeks
- HCLFoundation aims to educate NGOs about the HCLTech Grant and willl provide funding of ₹16.5 Crore (~$2.2 million) to nine NGOs, selected through an independent, robust and democratic process
- The grant will commit to ₹5 crore for a four-year project in each category
- Additionally, a grant of ₹25 lakh each is given to the other two finalists in each category for a one-year project.
The HCLTech Grant Pan-India Symposium brings together NGOs, civil society organizations, start-ups and experts working in the social impact space, to exchange ideas that can contribute to making a better nation. The HCLTech Grant Symposium 2024 will also be held in Bengaluru, Patna, Bhubaneshwar, Shillong, Bhopal, Udaipur, Dehradun and Delhi in the ensuing weeks, said Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Vice President, Global CSR, HCLTech and Director, HCLFoundation.
Talking to media on the sidelines of the symposium, Dr Nidhi Pundhir said “We are thrilled to kickstart the symposiums which are an extension of HCLFoundation’s commitment to empowering the local communities in creating a sustainable future. We look forward to reviewing the innovative projects by NGOs across India and supporting impactful initiatives through HCLTech Grant.”
Through these symposiums, HCLFoundation aims to educate NGOs about the HCLTech Grant. Dr Nidhi Pundhir further said that the HCLFoundation’s registration proccess of NGOs across the country begins during the month of May and ends in July every year. Symposiums conducted across the cities will help NGOs to get register through online.

“We have very stringent process in selecting NGOs to implement socio-economic development programmes, we maintain complete transparency and everything is paperless process” she added.
Marking the ten-year anniversary of the CSR laws’ implementation in India, this year’s symposium will help drive meaningful conversations on challenges, milestones and future directions of corporate social responsibility and its governing laws.
