The FilmFare Awards also celebrated the creative and technical brilliance behind Dasara. Director Srikanth Odela, who made his directorial debut with this film, was honored for his visionary approach and innovative storytelling. He has set a new milestone by becoming the first debut director to win a Filmfare Award and surpass 100 crore in box office revenue with his debut film.
Cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan was recognized for his exceptional work in capturing the film’s dynamic visuals. Production designer Avinash Kolla received the award for his meticulous work in designing the film’s sets and visual environments.
Choreographer Prem Rakshit Master was honored for his work on the energetic and engaging Dhoom Dhaam song.
After receiving the award, Nani said, “I once had a strong desire to win numerous awards, but over time, that desire has diminished. I no longer have a strong yearning for awards myself. Instead, my current wish is to see my directors, technicians, producers, the new talents introduced in my films, and other artists receive awards. That is what excites me the most.
Today, I am particularly thrilled to see Srikanth and Shouryuv win awards. It is a privilege to be part of that moment. I plan to photoframe the award cards to celebrate the wins of directors Srikanth Odela, and Shouryuv.
For me, the greatest award is being a small part of their journey to reach where they aspire to be. If I have contributed even a small brick to their first step, that is enough for me. The year 2023 is very special. ‘Dasara and Hi Nanna’ are exceptionally special.”
2023 indeed is a very special year for Nani who scored two big blockbusters. The actor will next be coming up with Saripodhaa Sanivaaram which will hit the screens on August 29th.
Producer Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas, renowned for his uncompromising approach to making in ‘Dasara,’ is set to collaborate once again with the blockbuster combination of Nani and director Srikanth Odela for another unique and high-budget film.
