The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) celebrated its 32nd BWWA Day with great enthusiasm at the BSF Campus in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. The event began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Anushree Pathak, BWWA Head, Gujarat Frontier, in the presence of all association members.

The event featured a rich tapestry of cultural performances and competitions, showcasing the diverse talents and creativity of the BSF community. A particularly touching highlight of the day was the heartfelt recognition of 20 Veeranganas, honoring their unparalleled sacrifices.

Anushree Pathak delivered a speech highlighting the significant role the organization plays in supporting the families of BSF personnel. She emphasized the association’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and empowerment of these families through numerous initiatives.

She also distributed essential items to the veerangana’s of BSF personnel and commended the association’s significant contribution to the betterment of BSF families

This tribute reaffirmed the BSF’s unwavering commitment to its personnel and their families, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and respect within the community. This annual event serves as a vibrant reminder of the vital role played by the families of BSF personnel in supporting the nation’s security.

The celebration not only strengthened bonds among the BWWA members but also served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by families of those who serve on the front lines.

The annual event is dedicated to the uplift and welfare of families associated with BSF. It serves as an occasion for families to come together, share experiences, and discuss various matters.

Established in 1992, BWWA aims to promote the welfare of the families of all serving and retired BSF personnel. The association focuses on the rehabilitation of widows, vocational training for economic empowerment, and various charitable missions. Over the years, BWWA has grown into a dedicated non-profit organization that assists spouses of BSF personnel in skill development, education for children, career counseling, health improvements, lifestyle enhancements, and housing for widows.

BWWA continues to work tirelessly toward its mission of strengthening the community, ensuring the well-being of BSF families, and equipping them to face life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.

The programme was attended by the families of local BSF Battalions, Sector and Frontier HQ BSF..
