Delhi Public School-Bopal, organized a ‘Cyber Security Workshop’ on Tuesday, for students of classes 9 to 12 as part of its efforts to ensure the safety of teens in digital age. It was held in collaboration with the British High Commission, New Delhi, Ahmedabad Rural Police (Gujarat Police) and Ernst and Young Cyber Security.
The session, led by experts from Ernst and Young Cyber Security, focused on the growing significance of cyber security in today’s digital age. It addressed the critical need for students to be aware of the risks and challenges of the online world and provided practical guidance on protecting themselves in an increasingly technology-driven environment.
Covering a wide range of topics, the workshop provided students with a solid foundation in cyber safety. They were informed about the detriments of cyberbullying and equipped with strategies to recognize and address it. The complexities of phishing scams were explored through real-world examples, underscoring the dangers of carelessly sharing personal information. The session also emphasized the need for strong passwords, effective privacy management, and caution when engaging on social media and gaming platforms.
In addition, students were taught how to identify online threats, report inappropriate behaviour, and understand the significance of their digital footprint and its long-term implications.
