With an avowed aim to become the launchpad for creating and sustaining a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem for Central Gujarat with some unique launches for India’s Startup Ecosystem, TiE Vadodara, a vibrant chapter of the TiE family, on Monday announced the holding of the second edition of TiECon Vadodara. The two-day event will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 4, 5, 2024, at The Grand Mercure, Vadodara, Gujarat, announced Maulik Bhansali, President, Vadodra chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) here on Monday.
Throwing light on the event’s significance, Maulik Bhansali said, “This year’s conference theme, Innovate for the Globe, will have fiery firesides, gripping panel discussions to build upon the opportunity that India has in terms of not merely becoming manufacturing hub but also services hub for the Globe with Innovation as focus. TiEcon Vadodara 2024 presented by ChargeZone will witness 1000+ attendees, including Industry veterans, startup founders, successful entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, leadership teams from VCs, product developers, incubators, government functionaries, and academicians.”

“TiE Vadodara, one among 40 worldwide chapters of TiE Global, has won this year’s best chapter award globally in our category, although it is the youngest chapter with three years of existence,” Bhansali added.
Answering a query on the impact of the first edition, Bhansali said, “To embrace, encourage and empower women entrepreneurs, TiE Vadodara launched TiE Women, a TiE Global initiative, in 2024. It has enrolled over 68 women-led startups for Mentoring, Networking, Education, Investing, and Incubation. TiE VEIN (Vadodara Exclusive Investors Network) is a group under the umbrella of TiE Vadodara that looks to bring together various investors interested in Angel Investment as an Asset Class. The Pitching sessions and MasterClass happen bi-monthly for VEiN members and Charter Members. TiE VEIN has selected various capable startups and raised an investment pool of approximately Rs 60 Lacs.”
Nilesh Shukla, Director, TiE Vadodara, said, “The mission of TiE is to foster entrepreneurship through mentoring, networking, education, funding, and incubation. With a focus on giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
Incidentally after the first edition, more than 25 high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) from Gujarat have come together to invest Rs 100 crore into startups. Every year, these entrepreneurs will support a minimum of 50 startups with an average ticket of Rs 50 lakh.
The two-day event will have multiple tracks going in, while on one hand the same will have Fireside Chats and Panel Discussions, on the other there will be master classes, round tables, Pitching sessions, Award Jury, Match-a-Thon as well as Mentor Lab etc – all in single day under one roof.
