Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University’s Swarrnim College of Agriculture recently organised an orientation program to welcome the new BSc (Honours) Agriculture students. The event introduced some 30 students and their parents to the university’s academic curriculum, campus resources, and entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture.
Dr Darshana Rathod, in-charge Principal of Swarrnim College of Agriculture, along with Dr Birendra Shrivastava, Academic Director of the institute, emphasised on the critical role agriculture plays in addressing global challenges and encouraged students to actively engage in their academic journey.
The program also featured sessions from Anuja Gupta, GM of Training and Placement, and Minesh Prajapati, Head of the Startup Cell, on aligning academic pursuits with career and startup opportunities in the agriculture sector. Students were encouraged to explore innovations that could disrupt and improve the present agriculture practices.
The event concluded with networking opportunities among students, faculty, and parents, setting the stage for a smooth transition of students into university life.
