Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, the Air Officer Commanding in Chief of HQ South Western Air Command (SWAC) on Tuesday highlighted the need for the Indian Air Force (IAF) to realign itself to meet the present and future requirements as the global security environment is in a state of constant flux.
After reviewing the Parade on the occasion of 92nd Annual IAF Day celebrations, he said, “We have to constantly review and update SOPs and achieve proficiency through rigorous training to enhance combat efficiency, safety and op-preparedness. Modernization of assets with a focus on physical security and information security is a priority for the IAF.”
South Western Air Command celebrated the 92nd anniversary of the IAF with a variety of formal and social events to honour the courage and valour of all Air Warriors, past and present.
On this occasion, the Air Officer Commanding in Chief of HQ SWAC conveyed his warm greetings to all personnel and their families of South Western Air Command and appreciated all Air Warriors for their professionalism, dedication and relentless efforts.
The Indian Air Force celebrated its 92nd anniversary on Tuesday, 08 October 2024 to mark the establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932. This day is celebrated throughout the country with parades and other functions, honouring the dedication of the personnel of IAF. This year, the theme for celebration is ‘Bharatiya Vayusena: Saksham, Sashakt aur Atmanirbhar’ (Indian Air Force: Capable, Strong and Self Reliant), highlighting the force’s commitment to national security, self-reliance and modernisation.
