To assist the civil administration in this hour of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Army is organising a nine-day ‘Blood Donation Camp’ at the Military Hospital, Ahmedabad, says Wing Commander Puneet Chadha, Defence spokesman, Gujarat.

Commenting on this humanitarian initiative, Chadha said, “Acting swiftly on request of the Blood Transfusion Department, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, a blood donation camp is being organised at Military Hospital, Ahmedabad from Friday  (April 3) to Saturday (April 11), both days inclusive. On the first day itself, over 100 Army personnel donated blood.”

The soldiers who always keep their commitment to duty above volunteered to donate the blood. The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from army personnel.

More than 100 serving personnel voluntarily donated blood upholding the greatest tradition of the Indian Army, “Service Before Self”. Army has been at the forefront of all nation-building activities and during natural calamities also, the Army has extended all assistance whenever required, he added.

A four-day blood donation camp has been commenced on Wednesday and will conclude on Saturday at Jamnagar Military Station.

ઓપી નમસ્તે – કોવિડ 19 : ભારતીય સૈન્યએ અમદાવાદની સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલને રક્તદાન કર્યું

કોવિડ-19 મહામારીના કારણે હાલમાં ઉભા થયેલા કટોકટીના આ સમયગાળામાં નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રને મદદરૂપ થવાના આશયથી ભારતીય સૈન્યએ અમદાવાદ ખાતે સિવિલ મેડિકલ ઓથોરિટીની વિનંતીના પગલે ‘રક્તદાન શિબિર’નું આયોજન કર્યું હતું. અમદાવાદની સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલના બ્લડ ટ્રાન્સફ્યુશન વિભાગની વિનંતી પર ઝડપથી કામગીરી કરીને 03 એપ્રિલ થી 11 એપ્રિલ 2020 દરમિયાન અમદાવાદમાં આવેલી મિલિટરી હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે રક્તદાન શિબિરનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.

હંમેશા પોતાની જાત કરતા પણ વધુ પોતાની ફરજ પ્રત્યે પ્રતિબદ્ધ રહેતા જવાનોએ સ્વૈચ્છિક રીતે આ શિબિરમાં રક્તદાન કર્યું હતું. આ રક્તદાન શિબિરમાં સૈન્યના જવાનોએ ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો હતો. સેવા આપી રહેલા 100થી વધુ જવાનોએ અહીં સ્વૈચ્છિક રક્તદાન કરીને ‘સ્વ જાત પહેલાં સેવા’ની ભારતીય સૈન્યની પરંપરાને ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે આગળ ધપાવી હતી. રાષ્ટ્ર નિર્માણની તમામ પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં અને કુદરતી આપત્તિની સ્થિતિમાં સૈન્ય હંમેશા અગ્રેસર રહે છે. જ્યારે પણ જરૂર પડે ત્યારે સૈન્ય દ્વારા રાષ્ટ્રને તમામ પ્રકારે મદદ કરવામાં આવે છે. આવા જ રક્તદાન શિબિરનું આયોજન 01 થી 04 એપ્રિલ 2020 દરમિયાન જામનગર ખાતે પણ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.
