A delegation of all-woman journalists from Kerala, who are on a tour of Gujarat, called on Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel on Thursday in Gandhinagar.

Addressing the delegation, the Chief Minister said, “The government is making every effort to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is in tune with the concept of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” where every class of people and institutions have to work together to make development possible.”
The Chief Minister underlined various initiatives being taken across the broad spectrum in the field of cleanliness to semiconductors under the leadership of the Prime Minister and asked the media team to experience the idea of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat during their visit.
Sharing their experiences, the journalists said that they are very happy to get the first hand information about the development of Gujarat. While thanking the initiative of PIB to organise such a tour, they said it is a good opportunity to see and interact with various stakeholders as also experience the local culture. The media team also visited GIFT City in Gandhinagar and were briefed about the upcoming projects.
Prakash Magdum, Additional Director General, PIB, Gujarat Region; Avantika Singh, Secretary to CM and Secretary Information; Arohi Patel, Deputy Director, PIB, Ahmedabad and Dr. Athira Thampi, Deputy Director, PIB, Thiruvananthapuram were present during the meeting.

A team of 14 senior journalists from the Press Information Bureau Kerala, as part of an inter-state media visit organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India visited Amul Dairy in Anand. The visit aimed to explore Gujarat’s cooperative sector, with Amul serving as a model for success. Our esteemed guests engaged in insightful discussions with dairy officials. They were introduced to the glorious history of Amul, Plant operations, innovations, and the inspiring legacy of Dr. Verghese Kurien, the father of the White Revolution. The delegation appreciated Amul Dairy’s journey of hard work and its transformative impact, from empowering farmers, especially women farmers, to fostering sustainable development. They also expressed enthusiasm while going through the production and quality standards maintained. They exhibited trust in Amul’s potential, recognizing its capacity to strengthen the cooperative movement across India.
GIFT City
A delegation of woman journalists from Kerala, who were on a tour of Gujarat, visited GIFT City, and the Foreign Exchange here in person and obtained information about its operations.
The delegation met with the Chairman of the International Financial Services Centres Authority ( IFSCA),
Chairman K. Rajaraman gave information about the business started here , how and how much the company benefits. He also gave information about the business ,GIFT City .
The journalists also visited GIFT City and the cooling plant and learned about its operations.
Sabarmati Riverfront
In the evening, they visited the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project Office and watched a presentation on how the Sabarmati was transformed, and also enjoyed a river cruise and Gujarati cuisine.
