The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) felicitated its former Secretary and CEO of CSK Kallidaikurichi S Viswanathan fondly called by cricketing fraternity as ‘Kasi Sir’ here on Saturday.
The felicitation ceremony was organized by TNCA at KMK Stand, M A Chidambaram Stadium.
The felicitation was organized to celebrate his induction into the Cricket Hall of Fame, Hartford, USA, for his outstanding contribution as an administrative and executive.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. P Ashok Sigamani, President TNCA, In the presence of K Srikkanth, Former Indian Cricketer, Rupa Gurunath, Former President TNCA, T A Swaminathan, Colleague and long-time friend, Vijaya Viswanathan, Adam Sait, Vice President, R I Palani, Hon. Secretary, K Shivakumar, Hon. Jt. Secretary, Dr. R N Baba, and T J Srinivasraj, Hon. Treasurer.
The speakers of the event included past and present cricketers, past and present office bearers, family members, members from CSK, and friends who turned emotional and recollected their association and contribution of Viswanathan, both in person and digital medium.
Viswanathan was presented with a memento, a Sceptre, a piece of artwork depicting his journey, a blazer, and several other memorable gifts.
Viswanathan delivered an emotional and touching acceptance, thanking former TNCA President and BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan for spotting him and believing in him by repose faith and responsibilities. He expressed his gratitude to his family who were with him during all thick and thin, even though he could spend very little with them.
