Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Legendary actor Kamal Haasan will jointly inaugurate the FICCI Media & Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) South Connect 2025 on Saturday, announced the organisers.

“India’s media and entertainment landscape is witnessing a dynamic transformation, with regional industries playing a pivotal role in shaping the nation’s global footprint. To accelerate this momentum, FICCI Media & Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC) South Connect 2025 is slated to be organised on February 21-22 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. This landmark event will serve as a pivotal forum to explore the evolving future of films, television, OTT, gaming, animation, and digital entertainment, setting the stage for innovation, collaboration, and strategic growth in India’s creative economy,” a FICCI releases said.

Key themes and sectors covered in the two-day conference will feature a mix of knowledge sessions, masterclasses, workshops, content market, and exhibitions.

The primary focus areas include:

  • Films: The evolution of Indian cinema and its growing impact globally.
  • Television & OTT: The transformation of traditional entertainment into digital formats.
  • Broadcasting & Music: Innovations shaping the way audiences consume content.
  • Gaming, Animation, and VFX: Exploring India’s role as a powerhouse for emerging technologies.
  • Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in M&E: Addressing regulatory frameworks and policies.

Developer’s Day

On Day-2, the conference “PlayNext” is an exclusive Developer’s Day featuring deep-dive sessions into gaming, esports, and interactive entertainment. This segment will explore the future of gaming as it merges with mainstream entertainment.

The two-day event aims to gain insights from top decision-makers in the media & entertainment industry.
