Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ podcast on Sunday annouced a unique initiative to empower women across India. On March 8, PM Modi will hand over his social media accounts, including X and Instagram, to a select group of inspiring women for a day, allowing them to share their achievements, experiences, and challenges with the nation.

In the 119th episode of ‘Mann ki Baat’, PM Modi announced that women who have excelled in various fields will take over his social media platforms to share their achievements, experiences, and challenges with the nation.

“Let us celebrate and respect the indomitable spirit of women,” Modi said.
In the past, the prime minister had extended a similar gesture during the occasion in 2020, when seven successful women handled his social media accounts. Prime Minister Modi is one of the most followed political leaders on social media platforms like X, Instagram and Facebook.
Highlighting the contributions of freedom fighter Hansa Mehta in making the national flag, Modi said her contributions bring to fore sacrifices of women in the freedom struggle.
During the podcast, Modi also addressed the growing problem of obesity among countrymen and said it was essential to address the issue to become a fit and healthy nation. “one in every eight people today is troubled by the problem of obesity,” he said citing a study. He advised listeners to use 10 per cent less oil as part of efforts to address obesity. Modi also shared messages from sportspersons Neeraj Chopra and Nikhat Zareen.
Modi also hailed the ISRO for its successful launch of the 100th rocket. “Over the last 10 years alone, around 460 satellites have been launched and this includes many satellites of other countries as well. Another important fact in recent years is that the participation of woman power is constantly on the rise among our team of space scientists,” he said. Modi also appealed to people to try “one day as a scientist” by visiting research laboratories or planetariums to mark the National Science Day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his wishes to students appearing for their board exams, urging them appealed to them to stay happy and approach exams with a positive spirit and without any stress.
“Every year, during ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’, we discuss various aspects of exams with our exam warriors. I am glad that this initiative is becoming more institutionalized with new experts joining in. This year, we introduced a new format for ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’. We include eight different episodes featuring experts. We covered a wide range of topics, from overall exam preparation to health care, mental well-being and nutrition. Additionally, previous toppers also shared insights and experiences with everyone,” PM Modi highlighted.
“Be happy and stress-free,” he asserted.
