- Students understand Ahmedabad’s cultural legacy and its status as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City

Navgujarat College of Computer Applications, part of Navgujarat Group of Colleges, recently took its students for the Ahmedabad Heritage Walk.
Students traversed through various historical and heritage landmarks from the Walled City of Ahmedabad, which has also bagged the coveted World Heritage City status.
Key landmarks covered during the walk include the traditional Pol homes, Havelis, Derasar, chowks dedicated to literary legends such as Kavi Dalpatram and Akha Bhagat in addition to visiting the Jama Masjid near Teen Darwaza, and Swaminarayan Temple in Kalupur.
The idea behind taking students for the Ahmedabad Heritage Walk was to deepen the students’ understanding of Ahmedabad’s cultural legacy and its status as India’s first UNESCO World Heritage City.
Organised in collaboration with a non-government organisation (NGO), Invincible, the tour was guided by local historians and cultural experts who enriched the experience through interactive storytelling, historical anecdotes, and engaging activities.
