ICSI Ahmedabad Chapter (WIRC) had the immense honour of hosting this conference on the theme “Innovate, Illuminate and Excel” with the support of ICSI Vadodara Chapter. This grand event, held at the iconic Neonz resort (District Anand, Gujarat), witnessed the physical participation of more than 160 members and more than 120 members joining virtually. The conference also saw participation by the Chairpersons of all the other ICSI Chapters in Gujarat namely, Vadodara, Sural, Rajkot, Gandhinagar (GIFT City) and many of their Managing Committee members. The members were addressed by several stalwarts.

The inaugural session of the conference on 26th April, 2025 was graced by Yash Brahmbhatt, Founder & CEO, Shilp Group as the Chief Guest. The inaugural session was also addressed by CS B. Narasimhan, Immediate Former President, The ICSI,
The two-days programme navigated the evolving role of a Company Secretary and focused on the following:

In the first post-lunch session, CS Sachin Mishra, Company Secretary, TATA Consulting Engineers Ltd. spoke on the role of CS in Data Governance and its framework. In the second post-lunch session Sanjay Dambir, Associate Director, Standard Chartered Bank gave insight on FEMA.
On the second day of the conference on 27th April, 2025, CS Jatin Jalundhwala, Company Secretary and Joint President (Legal), Adani Enterprise Ltd. and CS Puneet Bansal, Group Head, Governance, Adani spoke on Reimagining Corporate Governance. Thereafter, Special Guest, CS Dhananjay Shukla, President, The ICSI, interacted with participating delegates along with CS Manish Gupta, Former President, The ICSI, CS B. Narasimhan, Immediate Former President, The ICSI and CS Rajesh Tarpara, Central Council Member, The ICSI and CS Kavita Khatri, Chairperson, Ahmedabad Chapter of WIRC of The ICSI. Expressing his delight, Special Guest, CS Dhananjay Shukla, President, the ICSI, said that Company Secretaries are today uniquely positioned to help organizations establish transparency, accountability, and a culture of ethical decision-making. Capacity Building Programmes like these go a long way in leveraging opportunities and steering through the intricacies of corporate law and governance.
In the next session, CS Manish Gupta, Former President, The ICSI, spoke on the topic “Nitty-Gritty of Secretarial Audit: Expectations vs Reality” followed by a Panel Discussion on “Vision 2047 – Emerging Regulatory Challenges – Role of CS” in which CS Manish Gupta, Former President, was joined by CS Rajesh Tarpara, Central Council Member, The ICSI.
