Lieutenant General AVS Rathee, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal assumed charge of Konark Corps as its 28th General Officer Commanding on Tuesday. He succeeds Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, who led the Corps to new heights of professionalism and administrative excellence.

Lieutenant General AVS Rathee, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Indian Military Academy, has held prestigious Command and Staff appointments during his service career spanning 34 years. The General Officer has the honour of serving across varied terrain in India and abroad, he has also excelled in all professional courses.
On assuming command of the Konark Corps, he paid tributes to Bravehearts for their valour in the line of duty at Jodhpur War Memorial and exhorted all ranks to continue to work towards professional excellence with zeal and enthusiasm.
