With schools closed down all across the state and country, many parents are finding themselves taking on the role of teacher and finding new forms of entertainment for their children at home.

Online contests have come handy for them to bring out the creative talents of their kids. Painting is one of the best art forms to engage the kids in help observe the happenings around them and express their feelings and inferences with different strokes.
In the wake of prevalent situations, Brihati Foundation has come up with STAY AT HOME series of activities and organised the first exclusive online drawing competition for children of Dhal ni Pol, between 8 and 15 years of age.
The six-day competition was launched on April 1 and ended on April 6. The given topics were: How Dhal ni Pol would fight against Coronavirus? and the Unsung heroes of Dhal ni Pol.
Among the entries submitted online, the paintings of Dhanshree Soni, Neel Dodia, Janvi Prajapti, Dhruv Prajapati were adjudged as winners, the release added.
બ્રિહતી ફાઉન્ડેશને કોવિડ-19 વિશે વિચારો વ્યક્ત કરવા અને જાગૃતિ લાવવા ઢાળની પોળના બાળકો માટે ચિત્રસ્પર્ધાનું આયોજન કર્યું
જ્યારે રાજ્ય અને દેશમાં સ્કૂલો બંધ છે, ત્યારે માતાપિતાઓને શિક્ષકની ભૂમિકા ભજવવી પડે છે અને ઘરે તેમના બાળકો માટે મનોરંજન પૂરું પાડવા નવી નવી રીતો શોધવી પડે છે. હાલનો સમય મુશ્કેલ છે, પણ આપણે તેનો સદુપયોગ કરવાનું મહત્ત્વ સમજવું પડશે. પ્રવર્તમાન સ્થિતિસંજોગોમાં બ્રિહતી ફાઉન્ડેશને ઢાળની પોળમાં 8થી 15 વર્ષના બાળકો માટે સ્ટે એટ હોમ સીરિઝ અંતર્ગત વિવિધ પ્રવૃત્તિઓનું અને સાથે સાથે પ્રથમ વિશિષ્ટ ચિત્રસ્પર્ધા યોજી હતી. બાળકો આ પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં ઘરેથી સામેલ થયા હતા અને ઓનલાઇન એન્ટ્રી સબમિટ કરી હતી. આ કોમ્પિટિશન 1 એપ્રિલ, 2020ના રોજ શરૂ થઈ હતી અને 6 એપ્રિલ, 2020નાં રોજ પૂર્ણ થઈ હતી. આ માટેના મુદ્દા હતાઃ ઢાલની પોળ કોરોના વાયરસ સામે કેવી રીતે લડશે તથા ઢાલની પોળના અનસંગ હીરો.
બ્રિહતીને પોળમાંથી પ્રોત્સાહનજનક પ્રતિસાદ મળ્યો હતો અને સુંદર ડ્રોઇંગ એન્ટ્રીઓ મળી હતી. લોકડાઉન પછી તમામ વિજેતાઓને રોમાંચક ઇનામો આપવામાં આવશે.
