Kathiawad Jain Samaj will dedicate a multi-functional community complex, the Centenary Upashray, in Bopal here on Sunday, June 22. It was built by Ahmedabad-based Gondal Sthanakwasi Sampraday Kathiyawadis inspired by Gadipati Pujya Girishchandra Maharaj Saheb. To mark this occasion, a donor welcome ceremony will be held at Maharaja Agrasen Hall, Shela on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 9 am to noon under the chairmanship of Urveshbhai Vora. On Sunday, 22nd June 2025, a procession will be taken out at 9:00 am. It will be followed by the digital inauguration ceremony and Chaturmas Praveshotsav of Gopal under the presidency of Vinubhai Kapasi at 9:30 am. Chant for world peace: Pujya Shri Dhirgurudev
After paying tributes to the victims the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad in the Civil Hospital, Pujya Shri Dhirgurudev said, “Unimaginable events are happening in the world right now. Today, through your medium, I request everyone to chant as much as possible for world peace. Because chanting is the driving force to awaken your inner and outer strength.”
On April 9, 2025, millions of participants from all over the world chanted the Navkar Mahamantra in unison. This was noted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address.
Hold deaddiction awareness for youth to make developed India: Guruji
He further said, ”India has the largest number of youth in the world, about 40 crore. If they are made free from addiction through youth awareness programs, a strong and developed nation can be built through their unimaginable ideological powers. This is our first Chaturmas in Rajnagar Ahmedabad, during which various humanitarian, life-saving and socially useful projects have been organized. These include blood donation camps, medical camps, addiction relief, women empowerment, youth empowerment, and educational programs.”

The six-storey building built on a plot of 970 var at Bopal – Ambli Cross Road will house Veenaben Bhupatlal Khetani – Dharmanath Upashray, Labhuben Himmatlal Kapasi – Dharma Sankul, Dholakia Hasumatiben Popatlal – Ayambil Bhavan, Kumudben Nyalchand Vora – Medical Center as well as 2 large banquet halls, a guest house with 9 AC rooms and Taramatiben Joisar Vaiyavaccha Center on the ground floor. This was the vision of late Minister Maheshbhai Ambavi etc.
Healthcare at nominal cost
The medical center has state-of-the-art equipoment and will offer all types of services such as X-ray machine, sonography, mammography, physiotherapy, dental treatment etc. This facility is open to all and a very nominal fee will be levied, the organisers said.
Offering service to the society is the true practice of a saint
Speaking with the media, Kathiawad Jain Samaj secretary Mehulbhai Dholakia said, “With the wonderful cooperation of the committee, the Chaturmas of Pooja Shri Dhirgurudev, the inspirer of the famous Shayyadan Mahadan of Gondal Sampraday, has been received in the first year and there has been a lot of religious fervor. This is the good fortune of Dharmanath Sthanakvasi Jain Sangh. Offering service to the society is the true practice of a saint. Dhirgurudev, who believed in this, had accepted Jain initiation at the young age of 24 along with his 80-year-old father Shri Premgurudev in Upleta.”
Anshulbhai Khetani, the construction coordinator of the modern non-sectarian complex of Kathiawad Jain Samaj, said, “On Saturday, 21st, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, a donor welcome ceremony will be held at Maharaja Agrasen Hall, Shela under the chairmanship of Urveshbhai Vora. On Sunday, 22nd June 2025, a procession has been organized at 9:00 am. At 9:30 am, the digital inauguration ceremony and Chaturmas Praveshotsav of Gopal will be held under the presidency of Vinubhai Kapasi. Pious Deepmuni M.S. of Gondal, Pious Guniji M.S., Pious Jyotiji M.S. Adi, Botad’s Poo. Savitaji MS, Poo. Sushilaji MS, Ajramar’s Poo. Bhaktiji MS, Gopal’s Poo. Purnitaji MS, etc. as well as Jain luminaries and Sanghas from Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Jalgaon, Chennai, Ambevelly, Indore, Pune, Jamnagar, Gondal, Rajkot, Surat, Baroda, Bharuch, Vapi etc. and Rajnagar will be present.”
A lecture series on Chaturmas will be organized by Kathiawad Sthanakvasi Jain Samaj – Dharmanath Jain Sangh near Vakil Saheb Bridge, behind Shivalik Satyamev, in Ahmedabad.
