In order to bring out the latent talents of women in general and motivate the young women, Shri Lohana Parivar Mahila Mandal has organised a felicitation function for 15 women achievers at ‘Patang Hotel’ here on Saturday.
Speaking with the media, Ranjanben P. Thakkar, who has been leading the organization for the last seven years, said, “Ours is a 30-year-old organisation working for the women empowerment and economic independence. At today’s function, we have felicitated about 15 women achievers from different fields like medical, legal, business, education etc. The achievers have shared their knowledge and experience with over 300-strong members. We hope, their pep talk will motivate the youngsters to perform better in their chosen field.”
Sharing her thoughts, Dr Darshana Thakkar, a well-known gynaecologist, one of the achievers said, “Women empowerment is need of the hour. By organising this function, we are enlightening young women to excel in their profession and become self-reliant.”
Parul S. Jobanputra, one of the donors and founder of Het Helping Hand Charitable Trust, praised the organisers for holding such an event for the betterment of women.
