The Indian Coast Guard Eastern Region observed the 79th Independence Day with pomp and glory befitting the auspicious occasion here on Friday.
Sense of patriotism and the Triranga was evident among ICG officers, men and families. The ICG region has been conducting a series of events, in the buildup for the Independence Day, all across its units along the coasts of Tamil Nadu, including Mandapam, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry. The string of events intended to hone patriotism and instil pride about the rich history and valour of our nation, our freedom fighters and the valour of armed forces.
Community interactions, Bike Rallies, Walkathons etc were conducted for the past few days and Tricolour were distributed to fisherfolk, school children at various places by the fourth armed force of the union in true sense of its commitment to nations security and pride.
