Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command of Indian Army called on Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, K. Kailashnathan on Saturday for a formal interaction.
During the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor and the Army Commander held a wide-ranging discussions on strengthening Civil–Defence Cooperation. The deliberations focused on enhancing preparedness and coordination for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, given the Southern Command’s pivotal role in providing timely assistance during natural calamities across the southern states and island territories. The interaction also covered measures aimed at the empowerment and welfare of veterans, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the nation.
