Three people were rescued by an IAF helicopter from the flood-stricken Dharoda village in Kheda district on Tuesday, says a Defence release.
“In a swift Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission, an IAF Mi-17 V5 helicopter rescued three elderly persons stranded in Dharoda village, Kheda district, following heavy flooding of the Sabarmati river,” the statement said.
“The success of the mission was enabled by the seamless coordination and innovative approach of the helicopter crew, who ensured the safe and timely evacuation. This mission highlights the Indian Air Force’s readiness, professionalism, and commitment to safeguarding lives during natural calamities,” the statement added.
