The Gujarat Adolescent Health Academy (AHA) is hosting the landmark “ADOLESCON 2025” National Conference from Friday to Sunday, September 19–21, 2025, at Crowne Plaza, S.G. Highway, Ahmedabad. The event is part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Adolescent Health Academy, underscoring 25 years of commitment to advancing adolescent healthcare.

Jointly organized by Gujarat AHA, AOP Ahmedabad, and AOP Gujarat, the conference blends scientific rigor with the warmth of Gujarati hospitality. Leading the event are Dr. Himabindu Singh (Chairperson, AHA India), Dr. Sushma Desai (Organizing Chairperson), Dr. Nishchal Bhatt (Organizing Chairperson and Chairperson, Gujarat AHA), and Dr. Samir Shah (Chief Organizing Secretary).
Theme: Mpower YUVA – Accelerated Action for Adolescent Health
This year’s theme, “Mpower YUVA – Accelerated Action for the Health of Adolescents (AAHA!!)”, emphasizes the crucial role of pediatricians in strengthening adolescent healthcare. Designed by pediatricians, for pediatricians, the sessions focus on integrating adolescent health seamlessly into everyday clinical practice.
4 Key Focus Areas
Over three days, experts will deliberate on diverse and sensitive adolescent issues, including:
- Mental health: stress, anxiety, bullying, digital wellness, exam and career pressures
- Girls’ health: menstrual health & hygiene, PCOS, teenage pregnancy
- Preventive health: HPV and cancer prevention, non-communicable diseases, dengue control
- Holistic wellbeing: substance abuse, body image, sports medicine, life skills, counselling

Weeklong Outreach & Awareness Drive
In the run-up to the conference, an outreach program (Sept 13–19) was conducted in schools and colleges across Gujarat. Students, parents, and teachers participated in sessions on healthy lifestyles (diet, exercise, sleep), immunization, mental health, social media use, life skills, and family life education.
